Hazel Hanley (M.Ost) – Osteopath

“I graduated from the London School of Osteopathy with a Master of Osteopathy (M.Ost) degree in 2013. Since graduating I’ve been working in clinics in London, Marlow and High Wycombe as an osteopath and sports massage therapist.

Prior to training as an osteopath, I held management roles in retail, supply chain and project management. Whilst working as a store manager for a wine company, a role involving extensive manual handling, I first encountered back pain and fortunately the benefits of osteopathy. I was so impressed with the transformation to my health that I decided to train to become an osteopath myself. I’ve also undertaken sports massage qualifications and I often incorporate elements of this into treatments.

I really enjoy working in a clinic where I see a diverse mix of people with a variety of complaints. My previous work experience gives me a real understanding of the stresses and strains that can arise from both heavy manual handling and sedentary work. I have two sons, aged 5 and 2: my experiences during and after pregnancy have led to a special interest in treating both expectant mothers and post-natal women and I’ve undertaken further training in peri-natal care.

Outside of work, I recently completed Tough Mudder and I’m just starting to think about getting into shape for Rat Race 2020.
